Description
English: OMURA, Japan (April 21, 2007) – Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Eric Young, assigned to USS Juneau (LPD 10), helps Japanese children of the foster care facility Koyoryo Children’s Home decorate an Easter egg as part of a visit by Sasebo-based Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) Sailors. Led by the Sasebo Junior Sailor Association, participants brought the Easter spirit to the Japanese children through egg painting, candy and coloring, while also playing sports activities with the kids. Community outreach is a central focus of Sailors forward deployed here, who maintain positive relations with the host nation of Japan.
